
Sidewinders to Finish 2008 Season at Home

Tucson, AZ - The Tucson Sidewinders will host the Salt Lake Bees for a 4-game series in the team's last homestand of the season beginning Friday, August 29th at Tucson Electric Park. The team will take on the Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim during the culminating series of the season. The 2008 season will be the last for the Sidewinders, who will move to Reno, Nevada in 2009.
The Labor Day weekend homestand will kick off with the first of two Fireworks Spectaculars, followed by the Toros Hat Giveaway on Saturday, August 20th when the first 1,500 fans with paid admission will receive a free Tucson Sidewinders school lunchbox. The team will launch fireworks once again in celebration of Labor Day postgame on Monday, September 1st.
The Sidewinders went 3-7 on their most recent road trip to Salt Lake and Colorado Springs. Outfielder Tim Raines, Jr. has been swinging a hot bat of late. He has 9 multi-hit games in his last thirteen contests, hitting .577 (26-for-45) during the span.
