Tucson Sidewinders News Release
The Tucson Sidewinders picked up their second road win of the season in dramatic fashion Tuesday night, holding off a late Salt Lake rally for the 7-6 victory. Tucson took an early 3-0 lead in the first, but Salt Lake chipped back, getting to within 1 run in the 8th and 9th innings before finally conceding the win.
Sidewinders starter Chris Cervantes picked up his 3rd win of the season in his longest outing, going 6 innings, allowing 4 runs (all earned) while striking out 3. DH Chris Donnels hit his 2nd HR of the season, a 3-run shot in the 1st. C Willie Morales had 4 hits and 3B Chad Tracy chipped in 3 to pace the Sidewinders attack.
Game 3 of this series, pitting LHP Chris Capuano (1-0, 4.40) vs. RHP Chris Bootcheck (0-3, 6.12) airs tonight at 6:00 on AM 990 KTKT.
