DALLAS, Texas - The Dallas Sidekicks signed midfielder Brandon Cavitt to a one-year plus option agreement Thursday. The Sidekicks also moved midfielder Ben Waldrum to the injured reserve list and placed forward Jeff Betts on the suspended list.
Cavitt is starting his first season with the Sidekicks. He spent the previous five years playing with the Sacramento Knights. Waldrum, a rookie, played two games for the Sidekicks this season before having surgery to repair cartilage in his knee. Betts left the team for personal reasons and was placed on the Sidekicks' suspended list. He played in 14 games this season, recording four goals and four assists.
