Shorthanded Fury Can't Overcome Division Champion Legends

LAS VEGAS, NEV. --- The Ontario Fury, Driven by Mark Christopher Chevrolet, finished its inaugural season Saturday night with a 17-8 loss to the Pacific Division Champion Las Vegas Legends at the Las Vegas Indoor Soccer complex.
The Fury traveled to Las Vegas with only 12 players due to injuries suffered during last week's back-to-back games against Las Vegas and San Diego, were limited further after Jhonatan Bravo removed himself from the game after one shift after he limped off due to an ankle injury also suffered last week.
But Ontario marched on. Head coach Bernie Lilavois, pressed into action due to the injuries, scored three goals for the Fury, while midfielder Tiguinho scored two goals and had four assists pushing his season points total to a team best 32 (11 goals, 21 assists in 11 games). Mikel Palmerin also scored two goals, while Jeff Bader scored the Fury's final goal.
The Fury finished its inaugural season with a record of 5 wins and 11 losses. Las Vegas, as the division champion, will await the winner of a first-round playoff game between Toros Mexico - who clinched the final playoff spot with a 27-2 victory over Bay Area on Saturday Night - and the San Diego Sockers at the Valley View Casino Center.
Season tickets for the 2014-15 season are on sale now, with prices remaining unchanged from the 2013-14 season. Season tickets renewed before Feb. 21 will be entered into a drawing for a team-autographed ball.
