Hagerstown Suns News Release

Hagerstown, MD: The Delmarva Shorebirds finally won a game at Municipal Stadium in 2007. The Shorebirds broke a six game losing streak in Hagerstown, beating the Suns 6-2.

Jeff Moore improved his record to two wins and no losses for Delmarva, pitching six innings and allowing only one run on two hits. Brett Bordes pitched an inning of scoreless relief before Chad Thall closed out the game. Thall allowed one run in two innings of work.

For the Suns, Marco Estrada started the game, threw five innings and allowed two runs. He also walked two and struck out six Shorebirds, but was saddled with the loss as the Suns offense never got going.

Defensively, the Suns committed three errors, which led to two unearned runs.

The Suns have an off day on Wednesday, May 16th before heading to Lake County. After four games against the Captains starting on Thursday at 7:05 P.M. the Suns will play four against the Lakewood Blueclaws in New Jersey. All of the Suns games will be broadcast on Cool 95.9fm.
