Delmarva Shorebirds News Release

SALISBURY, Md. -- The Delmarva Shorebirds, Class "A" affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, are excited to announce that this year's Froggy 99.9 Shorebirds Fan Fest will be held on Saturday, March 28 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. Fan Fest is open to the public, and admission is free of charge.

"Fan Fest has something for fans of all ages" Shorebirds general manager Chris Bitters said. "We feel it's the perfect way to kick off our 20th season in Salisbury."

Shorebirds Fan Fest is headlined by the Q105 Easter Egg Scramble for boys and girls ages 12 and under. All kids must have their own Easter egg baskets to participate in the scramble, which will take place on the outfield grass. The egg scramble will be split into the three groups based on age: four years and under will begin at 10 a.m., ages five through eight will begin at 10:45 a.m. and children nine to 12 will start at 11:30 a.m. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. in the main lobby of the stadium. All kids will receive candy following the scramble. There will also be a photographer on site for kids to have their picture taken with the Easter Bunny. The photos will be free to download from KISS959fm.com.

The Shorebirds will also hold Kiss 95.9 National Anthem Tryouts on the field during Fan Fest. Attendance is mandatory for anyone who wishes to sing the anthem before a Shorebirds game during the 2015 season. All interested performers will be asked to deliver their rendition of a short portion of the national anthem on the field. Registration for tryouts will take place from 9-10 a.m. in the lobby of Arthur W. Perdue Stadium while auditions will run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Also returning to Fan Fest is the 47 ABC Junior Sportscaster Audition. Kids ages 17 and under can stop by and record a demo, which will be posted to 47 ABC's website at www.wmdt.com. Viewers will vote on their favorite, and the participant with the most votes will be chosen as the 47 ABC Junior Sportscaster. The winner will get to cover a Shorebirds game with 47 ABC's Sports Team and receive four box seat tickets to an upcoming game.

A Summer Camp Fair will again be held on the concourse of the stadium. Local summer camps will be showcasing their programs and handing out brochures. Parents and kids will have the chance to ask questions and speak to camp directors and counselors. The list of camps scheduled to attend as of March 9 is below.
