Shorebirds Return Home Tuesday

SALISBURY, Md. -- The Delmarva Shorebirds return to Arthur W. Perdue Stadium for a seven-game homestand that will begin on Tuesday, June 9.

The homestand will open with a three-game set that will serve as the first meetings between the Shorebirds and Hagerstown Suns (Washington Nationals affiliate) in Salisbury during the 2015 season. It will then conclude with a four-game series against the Kannapolis Intimidators (Chicago White Sox affiliate).

There will be a number of promotions for fans to take advantage of including two fireworks shows, an appearance from Washington Redskins legend Mark Moseley and a championship pennant giveaway.

Tuesday, June 9 vs. Hagerstown Suns, 7:05 p.m.

Every Tuesday during the 2015 season is a Two For Tuesday presented by McDonald's of the Eastern Shore. Fans who bring a receipt for an extra value meal, happy meal or full-sized salad to the Perdue Stadium box office can receive a buy one, get one free offer on general admission tickets.

Fans who attend the game can also participate in a Tweet Your Seat contest for a chance to win a prize pack courtesy of the McDonald's of the Eastern Shore.

Wednesday, June 10 vs. Hagerstown Suns, 7:05 p.m.

Wednesday's game will mark another Silver Sluggers Night presented by Coastal Home Care. This affordable ticket plan for seniors features tickets to all Wednesday home games.

A special antique car show will be held outside Perdue Stadium before Wednesday's game from 5:30-7 p.m. featuring cars from the Eastern Shore Branch of the Antique Car Club of America. The free pregame event open to all fans will also feature music from local DJ, Sky Brady.

Finally, all fans in attendance will also have the chance to play Baseball Bingo for their chance to win a prize from the Shorebirds.

Thursday, June 11 vs. Hagerstown Suns, 7:05 p.m.

The Shorebirds and Suns will wrap up their three-game set on a Kiss 95.9 Thirsty Thursday presented by University Village of Salisbury. Drink specials include 16-ounce cans of Miller Lite and Coors Light, as well as 16-ounce Pepsi products, for just $2.

Friday, June 12 vs. Kannapolis Intimidators, 7:05 p.m.

An exciting weekend of Shorebirds baseball will kick off on Friday with a special postgame fireworks show.

As they have all season, the Shorebirds will also wear special throwback jerseys modeled after the ones worn in 1996 as a part of the team's season-long 20th anniversary celebration.

Saturday, June 13 vs. Kannapolis Intimidators, 6:35 p.m.

Saturday's game will feature a full slate of events as a part of Faith and Family Night presented by Mountaire Farms. The festivities will begin at 5:15 p.m. with a concert from the Milford Church of God Choir outside of the main gate at.

Faith and Family Night will be highlighted by an appearance from Washington Redskins legend Mark Moseley. Moseley, who won the Associated Press NFL Most Valuable Player award in 1982, will be on hand to sign autographs for fans and provide a motivational message following the game.

The night will then conclude with a postgame fireworks spectacular presented by Mountaire Farms.

Sunday, June 14 vs. Kannapolis Intimidators, 2:05 p.m.

The Shorebirds will continue to celebrate 20 seasons of baseball with a commemorative championship pennant giveaway to the first 500 fans through the gates. The pennants will honor the two SAL championships won by Delmarva in 1997 and 2000.

The Shorebirds will also continue the fight against hunger on the Peninsula by holding another Strike Out Hunger Sunday. Fans who bring two canned food items for donation to the Perdue Stadium box office will receive a $3 general admission ticket.

Finally, members of the Junior 'Birds Kids Club presented by McDonald's of the Eastern Shore will have the opportunity to run the bases following the game thanks to Chili's Grill and Bar.

Monday, June 15 vs. Kannapolis Intimidators, 7:05 p.m.

The homestand will conclude on a 47 ABC Two Buck Monday. Fans will be able to enjoy special $2 pricing on general admission tickets, Esskay hot dogs and small Pepsi products. No coupon is required to take advantage of these deals.
