Spokane Shock News Release

Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced today that QB Justin Rummell, WR Michael DePriest and FB Ken Williams have been traded. Rummell was traded to the Manchester Wolves, DePriest to the Amarillo Dusters and Williams to the Peoria Pirates. All players were traded for future considerations.

Rummell, a returning member of the 2007 Spokane Shock Western Division Champions, appeared in 3 games in the 2007 season and was competing for the starting job in 2008.

"Justin was not going to be the starter here, so I tried to put him in a position to compete for the starting job somewhere else," Head Coach Adam Shackleford said. "He's going to a class organization with a great Coach (Danton Barto)."

DePriest and Williams are both rookies to Arena Football and appeared in last week's pre-season exhibition game.

The Shock will open the 2008 season on the road this Sunday on March 30th as they travel to Green Bay to take on the Blizzard with live coverage on 101.1 FM.
