af2 teams up with Network Foundation Technologies to present af2 TV for free

CHICAGO - The arenafootball2 league (af2) and Network Foundation Technologies (NFT) are pleased to announce a partnership that will create a new, FREE online network to provide the league's passionate fan base an opportunity to view the af2's 2008 season live over the Internet. Thanks to the power of NFT's patented online broadcasting technology, fans across the globe will now be able to bring all the action of af2 football right to their home computer or laptop on a "Free-for-View" basis.
"Broadcasting our content online through NFT provides an effective way for the league to reach our loyal fans while extending the af2 brand," af2 President Jerry Kurz said. "NFT's previous success with other sporting league customers has paved the way for the af2 to create an ideal partnership that benefits everyone."

NFT's innovative video broadcasting solution incorporates a downloadable player that streams content directly to the viewer's computer desktop. With the ability to reach geographically diverse and unlimited audiences, at a fraction of the bandwidth cost of other online broadcasting technologies, NFT's platform is a viable solution for many content providers who want to deliver high quality live television-style programming that is free of charge to viewers. Previously af2 fans were only able to view games online on a pay-per-view basis.
Broadcasts are planned to begin with the league's opening night on March 28, 2008 and continue through the ArenaCup Championship. A complete broadcast schedule will be posted on www.af2.com as soon as it becomes available.
