
Shock Team Up With The Spokane Tribe

August 16, 2007 - The Spokane Shock have teamed up with the Spokane Tribe to host a football camp for junior high and high school athletes in the Wellpinit School District. The camp, which begins on Monday August 20th and runs until Wednesday August 22nd, will be taught by members of the 2007 Western Division Champion, Spokane Shock.
"The Spokane Tribe is thrilled to welcome the Spokane Shock team to Wellpinit," said Jamie Sijohn, Spokane Tribe Public Relations Director. "The Shock football team will benefit our community youth and give the football team and kids the opportunity to learn from each other."
Shock Players and Coaches scheduled to participate are: ROB KEEFE, KATON BETHAY, DEVON PARKS, JERMAINE HARRIS, AMOS LAMB, NYGEL ROGERS, JOHN KOKER, HEAD COACH ADAM SHACKLEFORD and ASSITANT COACH ALEX SIRIANNI.
The camp will run from 9 AM - 11:45 AM Monday through Wednesday. Players, Coaches and representatives from the Spokane Tribe will be available for interviews throughout the camp.
"This is more then just a football camp," Shackleford said. "This is an opportunity for us to make a difference in these kids' lives on and off the field."
DIRECTIONS TO WELLPINIT: Drive west on I-90 to the airport exit
Exit I-90 at the airport exit and head west on Highway 2
Continue on Highway 2 through Airway Heights to Reardan
In Reardan, turn right at the US Bank and head north onto Highway 231
Stay on hwy 231 until you come to a 4-way intersection
Turn left at the 4-way intersection onto Little Falls Road
Stay on Little Falls road and drive past the Little Falls Dam
Continue up the mountain until you come to another 4-way stop (in Wellpinit)
Turn left and you will see the football field at your immediate left. The Tribal administration building is directly in front of you.
