Spokane Shock News Release
SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane Shock today announced partnering with the Salvation Army Spokane to distribute 4,000 new backpacks with school supplies to families on a first-come, first-serve basis.
We will have players both at 8am for 1 hour and at 3:30pm on site to support the Salvation Army and mingle with the families that attend. Players will also be available for interviews, sign autographs and take photos.
Come help The Salvation Army serve the children and teens in Spokane. On August 11th from 7:15am-6pm families who cannot afford the basic supplies their kids need for school will come to our campus and receive not just backpacks, but an entire litany of services at our vendor fair.
Volunteers meet in the Community Center parking lot at 222 E. Indiana (Corner of Lidgerwood & Indiana). You'll find a check-in tent to sign in and get a volunteer badge.
