SIOUX FALLS, SD - The IFL announced today its 19-week, 120-game regular season schedule for 2022, which kicks off on Saturday night, March 12, with defending IFL Champion Massachusetts Pirates hosting the Frisco Fighters and concludes with four playoff potential games in Week 19.

The 2022 IFL schedule will include all 11 returning teams and the return of dormant teams, Quad Cities Steamwheelers and the San Diego Strike Force, along with new first year teams Bay Area Panthers and the Vegas Knight Hawks. The 2022 season will be jam-packed with excitement.

The IFL will be entering its 14th season, featuring 15 teams, playing 16 regular season games.

The IFL will be separating into two conferences where the top four in each conference will qualify for the 2022 IFL playoffs.

The IFL is coming off the heels of what was an extended 2021 Covid-19 season, witnessing the most competitive year in IFL history. Capped off by its first ever overtime United Bowl, as the Massachusetts Pirates defeated the Arizona Rattlers 37-34 at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, AZ in front of 10,000+ IFL fans.

"As our league continues to blossom, it is vital to our national footprint to release this schedule in a time frame that gives both the teams and the league ample time to prepare for what is going to be our best season yet. The IFL is committed to delivering to our fans the best indoor football product in the world as we look forward to kicking off our 14thseason. We just completed our most challenging year yet and to return all teams and be operating as a national footprint at 15 teams, says a lot about the future of our league", stated Commissioner Todd Tryon.

The IFL is America's longest consecutive-running indoor football league. For more information on the IFL and its member teams, please visit GoIFL.com.
