Spokane Shock News Release
SPOKANE, WA (November 8, 2012) - The Shock have been assigned defensive back Cameron McGlenn to the 2013 roster.
McGlenn joins the Shock roster after spending the past two seasons with the AFL's Iowa Barnstormers. As a member of the Barnstormers in 2011, McClenn registered 76 tackles, 28 pass break-ups, and 9 interceptions. In 2012, McGlenn recorded 107 tackles, 10 pass break-ups, and 7 interceptions.
McGlenn played his collegiate career at Elon University where he became a key element to the Phoenix's defensive secondary. As a true freshman in 2006, McGlenn saw action in 11 games and recorded 22 tackles. During his sophomore season, McGlenn was named the team's Most Outstanding Defensive Back and saw action in 11 games (started two) on his way to registering 60 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and six pass break-ups. In 2008, McGlenn started 11 of 12 games and tied for a team high 38 solo tackles on the season with three pass break-ups and one forced fumble.
"McGlenn will be a great asset to our defensive secondary. His size and physical style of play is exactly what we're looking for in our defensive backs and his ability to cover downfield will be a great addition to our team," said Shock Assist Coach Stanley Franks.
