Shock Announce New Local Broadcasting Partnership with KREM 2 /KSKN 22

Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock and KREM 2 /KSKN 22 announced today that KREM 2/KSKN 22 has secured exclusive local broadcasting rights to televise Shock games in the 2011 season.

A majority of the televised home game broadcasts will be carried on KSKN, with an undetermined number carried on KREM. Additionally, KSKN/KREM will have the rights to locally broadcast road games.

"The move to make CW channel 22 (KSKN) the new TV home of the Spokane Shock allows us to bring the excitement of Shock football to a larger audience," Majority Owner/CEO Brady Nelson said. "KSKN is available on DISH Network, Direct TV, all cable systems and Over The Air. All of our fans, regardless of where they live, will now be able to watch Spokane Shock games on TV."

"We've enjoyed seeing The Shock quickly become the preeminent arena football franchise," said Jamie Aitken, president and general manager of KREM and KSKN. "KREM and KSKN's broadcast strength now brings a much wider viewing audience to the most exciting AFL team in the country. We're thrilled to be the new Home of The Shock."

Nationally, the Shock have been selected for three AFL Game of the Week broadcasts on the NFL Network: March 25th (at Iowa); June 10th (hosting Philadelphia); and July 22nd (at Jacksonville).

All games - home and away - can also be heard live on 700 ESPN THE TICKET with Dennis Patchin and Keith Osso.

The defending ArenaBowl XXIII Champions will kick off the season on March 11th in San Jose against the SaberCats. The following weekend the Shock will return to Spokane to host the Cleveland Gladiators on Saturday, March 19th.
