May 19, 2010 - Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced that the team has added WR Emery Sammons to its roster.
Earlier today, the Shock also added DB Antwan Marsh to its roster and placed WR Markee White and DL Jeremy Geathers on the Injured Reserve List.
Sammons, 6-2 190, was named to the 2009 All-af2 team after he recorded 102 receptions -including 26 touchdowns - for 1,146 yards in only 14 games with the Manchester Wolves.
The previous season, Sammons spent time in camp with the Philadelphia Soul and the New York Dragons. Sammons then signed with the Wolves where he collected 85 receptions for 1,156 yards and 21 touchdowns.
In his two seasons with the Wolves, Sammons played in four postseason games registered 37 receptions for 444 yards and seven touchdowns.
"Emery Sammons is a well-rounded wide receiver who knows the Arena game," Head Coach Rob Keefe said. "We are excited to have him join Spokane's winning tradition."
Although it is not known if Emery will play in this Saturday's game against the Utah Blaze, he will be eligible. Tickets for the game are still available and can be purchased by contacting TicketsWest.
