Milwaukee And Jacksonville Tie For First Place In Coaches Poll
May 19, 2010 - Arena Football League (AFL) News Release
TULSA - The Milwaukee Iron move over and share the top spot with the Jacksonville Sharks this week. This is the first time this season the Jacksonville Sharks have been on top thanks to their solid win against Dallas last Friday. Milwaukee won a close game against Utah that came down to a 2-point conversion for the win in overtime. The two teams are 5-1 this season. Milwaukee will play Orlando, while Jacksonville will play Cleveland in Week 8.
The Cleveland Gladiators shift the most this week, jumping up five spots to No. 5 after a home win against Tulsa. The Spokane Shock move two spots to No. 4 after a thin victory at Oklahoma City. The Chicago Rush stay at No. 3 after the second straight loss this season to No. 10 Iowa.
Four teams drop at least two spots this week. The biggest fall was the Bossier-Shreveport BattleWings, who dropped four sports to No. 13 this week after a close loss to Tampa Bay. Alabama also moves down three spots to No. 8 after a loss to Orlando. Alabama and Bossier-Shreveport will play each other this weekend at Alabama.
