May 19, 2010 - Arena Football League (AFL) - Milwaukee Mustangs News Release

The Milwaukee Iron and the Arena Football League announced today that Damian Harrell was awarded with the Cutters Catch of the Week after he set an AFL record for career receiving yards last Friday. In addition, Iron quarterback Chris Greisen was awarded with the Spalding Highlight of the Week when he connected with Nate Forse on a 2-point conversion in overtime to give the Iron their fifth win of the season.

Harrell (6-3, 20, Florida State) broke the AFL all-time receiving yards record in the second quarter Friday night with a12-yard catch against Utah. With the clock winding down in the first half, Harrell caught one of the most important passes of his 10 year career in the AFL when he broke the all-time receiving yards record of 13,363 previously held by Barry Wagner. Harrell also caught five other passes for a total of 75 yards and one touchdown in the Utah game. Harrell now has a total of 13,398 total yards. Harrell is on pace to set another record this week, with just seven receptions he will be the AFL's all-time leading receiver in receptions in addition to his current records of yards and touchdowns.

Greisen (6-3, 220, NW Missouri St.) clinched the game in the final seconds of overtime with his pass to Nate Forse for a 2-point conversion. In overtime, Utah scored on their first possession, but Greisen threw a 43-yard pass to Tiger Jones. The Iron went for the 56-55 win with the pass to Forse. Greisen completed 21-of-34 passes for 308 yards and six touchdowns against Utah. Forse caught eight passes for 114 yards and one touchdown. This close win continues Milwaukee's perfect record at home this season, and didn't disappoint the fans at the arena or the ones watching on the NFL Network.

The Iron travel to Orlando this Saturday night to take on the Predators at Amway Arena. Gametime is set for 6:30 pm CDT. The Iron will return home for a game on Saturday, May 29 against the Dallas Vigilantes. Tickets can be purchased online, over the phone or by visiting the Bradley Center box office.
