Shock Add Former ISU Bengal Thompson

Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced today that WR Eddie Thompson has been added to the 2010 roster. Thompson, 5-10 190, was a four-year starter at Idaho State University where he was named to Big Sky Conference Team all four seasons. As a junior, Thompson received All-American honors as well.

At Idaho State, Thompson recorded 219 receptions for 2,401 yards with 23 touchdowns. The versatile Thompson was also used in the Bengal running attack and on special teams as a punt returner. In the running game, Thompson averaged over six yards per carry and recorded a touchdown. In addition, Thompson added 491yards and a touchdown as a punt returner.

"Eddie Thompson has all the makings of a successful receiver in the Arena game," Head Coach Rob Keefe explained. "He knows how to get extra yards after a catch and he is extremely athletic and very shifty. He proved himself at the collegiate level and now he is ready to take his game to the professional level."

Thompson will join the rest of the Shock next week when training camp begins on March 15th. The Shock will open up the regular season on April 2nd hosting the Milwaukee Iron on Spokane Tribe Field at 8 PM PST. Season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by calling 509 242 7462.
