Spokane Shock News Release

Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced today that WR Markee White has been added to their 2009 roster.

White, 6-7 215, finished his collegiate career at Texas State University where he stared in both football and basketball. After his senior season, in 2005, White was named 1st-Team All-Southland Conference and led the Bobcats with 56 receptions for five touchdowns en route to a birth in 2005 NCAA semifinals.

The following season, White signed a free-agent contract with the St. Louis Rams and was released during the pre-season.

"He is raw but he has tremendous upside," Head Coach Adam Shackleford said. "I think the more he plays, the better he is going to get."

White is excited to return to the sport that he calls his "first love."

"I'm really hungry to get back out there and make a name for myself to let people know that I can play," White explained. "I did some research and found out that Spokane was considered the best team in the af2, so I really feel honored with this opportunity."

White is the third WR added to the Shock's 2009 roster and the twelfth player overall. Season ticket reservations for the defending National Conference Champion Shock can be placed now by calling (509) 242 7462.
