
Sherdrick Bonner and Randy Gatewood Earn All-AFL First Team Honors

Phoenix, AZ - The Arizona Rattlers placed two players on the 2003 All-AFL First Team today. Quarterback Sherdrick Bonner (6-4, 240, Cal St.-Northridge) and Wide Receiver/Defensive Back Randy Gatewood (6-0, 185, UNLV) were both honored by the Arena Football League for their play during the 2003 regular season.
Bonner set new team records with 88 passing touchdowns and 3, 692 passing yards. Earlier in the season, Bonner passed the 25, 000 career passing yard mark and the 500 career touchdown pass mark. He was named the AFL's Offensive Player of the Month for April. This is the second time Bonner has been named First Team All-AFL, earning the honor in 1998 as well. He has made the All-AFL Second Team three times, including last season.
Randy Gatewood set new career highs with 69 receptions, 32 touchdowns, and a franchise record nine interceptions. Gatewood also broke the Rattlers franchise record with his 24th career interception.
