CAMDEN, NJ- The Camden Riversharks have won seven in a row, but it hasn't been easy. After a string of come-from-behind victories, the Sharks eeked out a 7-6 win over the Somerset Patriots Tuesday night.

The Sharks took a four-run lead in the first on five hits. Outfielders Nic Jackson and L.J. Biernbaum led the rally, going back-to-back. First baseman Jason Phillips walked to load the bases, and it was on.

Left fielder Ron Davenport hit into a fielder's choice; Jackson scored. Second baseman Richard Lewis hit a timely two-run double to score Davenport and Biernbaum. Newly acquired designated hitter, Kyle Nichols, singled Lewis in to make it 4-0.

Up 4-1 in the third, Nichols did it again. With Lewis on second, Nichols singled to center for his second RBI as a Shark. He ended his first night 3-for-4.

The Sharks added two more in the fourth on hits by Biernbaum and Davenport, but the Patriots gnawed at the lead. Going into the eighth, they trailed the Sharks 7-4. Reliever Felix Rodriguez allowed his first runs as a Shark: an unearned score on an error by shortstop Gary Cates and an RBI single to shortstop Elliott Ayala.

Closer Alec Zumwalt pitched a one-hit ninth for his league-leading twelfth save. Reliever Julio Guerrero picks up the win, and Jim Magrane gets the loss.

The series wraps up tomorrow at 7:05 with the Riversharks' Salute to Game Shows. Tickets are available online at www.riversharks.com or by calling 1-866-SHARKS-9.
