
Sharks' turnovers play key role in 80-62 loss to Bossier Battlewings

In a battle for first place in the Southwest Division of the National Conference with the Bossier -Shreveport Battle Wings, the Corpus Christi Sharks couldn't overcome their own mistakes, falling 80-62 in front of 4,406 fans at Radiology Associates Field inside the American Bank Center Saturday night.
After getting off to a blistering start the Sharks (6-7) allowed 35 second quarter points to a Bossier Shreveport team that capitalized on three Sharks turnovers in the second stanza as the Battle Wings went into the halftime break with a 48-36.
Wide receiver Brandon Hussey and quarterback Fran Johnson hooked up 14 times is the ballgame en route to setting franchise records for receiving touchdowns (5), receiving yards (214), passing touchdowns (8) and passing yards (324).
The Sharks will return to action on July 14th at the Dodge Arena in Hildalgo when the take on the Rio Grande Valley Dorados before closing out their home schedule in a match up with the Texas Copperheads on Sunday, July 20th. Kickoff is set for 3:05 p.m.
