Camden Riversharks News Release
Chris Oxspring picked up his second win in as many starts against the Camden Riversharks as the Somerset Patriots snapped Camden's three-game winning streak with a 7-3 victory.
Oxspring (5-9) did not allow a run in his final three innings as he went seven strong giving up two runs on seven hits.
Sean Jarrett (1-2) suffered the loss allowing four runs on a season-high eleven hits while striking out two batters.
Somerset took advantage of some shoddy Riversharks' defense as Joe Holden scored on Danny Richar's error in the top of the 1st to take a 1-0 lead.
Jonel Pacheco answered back in the bottom of the 2nd with a two-out, RBI double to plate Brian Burgamy and tie the game at 1-1.
The Pats regained the lead in the 3rd inning with back-to-back RBI singles by Josh Pressley and Matt Hagen to make it 3-1.
Leading 4-2 in the 9th, Somerset three insurance runs highlighted by a two-run double by Matt Hagen.
Hagen finished the game 4-for-5 with 2 RBIs.
The Riversharks will play their final home game of the 2011 season tomorrow evening against the Somerset Patriots. First pitch is scheduled for 5:35 PM. Individual and group tickets can be purchased online at www.riversharks.com or by calling 1-866-SHARKS-9.
