CAMDEN, NJ - The Camden Riversharks announced today the signing of three more players to their 2010 opening day. The team has agreed to terms with Jonathon Ellis, Michael James, and Kyle Wilson, all right-handed pitchers. Ellis, James, and Wilson will all make their debut appearances playing in the Atlantic League this season.

Ellis, 27, was originally a 6th round draft pick in 2004 by the San Diego Padres. Prior to 2008, Jonathon played in the AA level. Most recently, during the 2008 and 2009 seasons, he advanced to play AAA for the Portland Beavers in the Pacific Coast League. There he appeared in 54 games, pitched 76 innings, and struck out 56 batters. He also registered a combined 4.31 ERA.

Also signing with the Riversharks this week was Michael James, who joins this year as a fresh face in Camden. Last season, James was a bullpen pitcher for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. He registered a 2.52 ERA for the 2009 season after appearing in 58 games.

Kyle Wilson was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 22nd round of the 2004 draft. During the 2008 season, Kyle pitched for two clubs. The start of the season he was with the Jacksonville Sun in the Southern League. For the latter half of the season, while rehabbing after shoulder surgery, he pitched in the Rookie League with the Dodgers.

"I expect each of these pitchers to contribute to the bullpen this season," Pitching Coach, Jeff Scott said, "Ellis and Wilson have also found success at higher levels so they can bring a lot of experience to our team," he added.

The Riversharks open their 10th Anniversary Season, presented by Wawa, on Thursday, April 22nd, on the road against the Newark Bears. The team will play their home opener at Campbell's Field against the Bears on April 30th, 2010, at 7:05 PM. Individual and group tickets are now on sale, and can be purchased online at www.riversharks.com or by calling 1-866-SHARKS-9.
