Camden Riversharks News Release

CAMDEN, N.J. --- Coming off his best start of the season, Mark DiFelice, who earned a complete game victory over the Road Warriors last Saturday, looked to repeat that feat against the Atlantic City Surf for game one of a double header. DiFelice went 4 1/3 innings, giving up three runs on five hits, getting a no decision in the Riversharks' 4-3 loss to the Surf.

Atlantic City crossed the plate first with three in the fourth. Demetrius Heath led off with a single and reached second on a stolen bag. Heath advanced to third on an error by Luis Lopez, putting men on the corners with two outs. Joe Jiannetti then stepped up and lined a ball to the left field corner for an RBI double. Clyde Williams made it back-to-back doubles, bringing the score to 3-0 Surf. Despite three hits in the inning, all three runs were unearned.

The 'Sharks cut the lead down to one in the bottom half of the inning, as the newest additions to the Camden lineup teamed up for some run production. Lopez led off the inning with a single and crossed the plate on a two-run shot to left by Pat O'Sullivan, putting the score at 3-2 Atlantic City.

In the fifth, Shaun Skrehot tied the game at 3-3 with a solo shot to left.

The final run of the game came in the top of the sixth as Jiannetti drew a one-out walk and scored on a Todd Leathers single for the final 4-3 Surf win.
