
Sharks Get Hot on the Road against Petersburg

Petersburg, VA - The bats came alive for the Sharks on Saturday evening as they picked up 15 hits, six of them doubles as they beat the Petersburg Generals 10-0 to improve to 4-4 on the year.
The Sharks started things off early as the Sharks picked up three runs in the 1st inning off the bats of Zach Houchins, Cody Dolan, and Zach Stephens to lead 3-0. In the third, the sharks batted around as they picked up four runs on three hits. In that inning Andrew Amaro picked up an RBI single and Zach Stephens picked up his second RBI double of the game to extend the lead to 7-0.
The Sharks bats stayed hot as they drove in a run in the 4th off a sacrifice fly from TJ Losby. In the 5th, Alex Freedman and Andrew Amaro scored to extend the lead to 10-0, the Sharks went on to win by that score.
Tyler Bolton, picked up his second win of the year as he tossed five innings of shutout baseball surrendering two hits striking out four. Bolton, has now tossed 11 straight scoreless innings.
Amaro, went 4-6 with two doubles and drove in a run. Stephens, in his first game this season with the Sharks made some noise at the plate going 3-4 with two doubles and two RBIs.
The Sharks will return back to action on Monday night as they will go on the road to take on the Edenton Steamers with a 7:05 p.m. first pitch.
