Sharks Announce ArenaBowl XXVIII Fan Information

JACKSONVILLE - As the Jacksonville Sharks prepare to square off against the San Jose SaberCats in ArenaBowl XXVIII on Saturday, August 29, the team has announced pertinent information for fans planning to make the trip to Stockton, California.

The ArenaBowl schedule of events opens with the AFL Awards Ceremony, which will be held on the field inside Stockton Arena at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27. This event is open to the public free of charge, as AFL players, coaches and organizations will be presented with individual and team awards for the 2015 season. Stockton Arena is located at 248 W. Fremont St. in Stockton.

On the afternoon of Friday, August 28, the Sharks and SaberCats will return to Stockton Arena for ArenaBowl XXVIII Media Day, which will be held inside the arena on the field from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Media Day is open to the public free of charge, as players and coaches from both teams will address the assembled crowd to discuss Saturday's ArenaBowl matchup.

On the day of the game, festivities will kick off with the ArenaBowl XXVIII Street Rally, which will be held outside of Stockton Arena from 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 29. Shortly after the conclusion of the Street Rally, fans will be able to enter the arena to get ready for the game's kickoff at 4:00 p.m. PT.

The Sharks recommend that all fans planning to attend ArenaBowl XXVIII purchase tickets in Sections 126 and 127 and 101, as these are closest to the visiting team bench. Section 101 splits the two benches, so Shark fans should sit on the side of 101 that is closest to 127. Tickets are now on sale and may be purchased by contacting the SaberCats at 408-673-3400.

Fans wishing to stay at the Sharks' team hotel can obtain a discount rate of $99/night at the Holiday Inn Express in Lodi, CA by calling 209-210-0150. Those who call are asked to mention the SaberCats Friends and Family rate. Additionally, there is a discount rate of $129/night available at the University Plaza Waterfront Hotel, which is the AFL host hotel this week. To obtain that discount, call 209-944-1140 and ask for the SaberCats rate.
