Sharks Activate Defensive Back George Baker

JACKSONVILLE - The Jacksonville Sharks announced Sunday that the team has activated defensive back George Baker from Refused to Report.
The 24-year-old Baker (6'0", 190) was originally acquired by Jacksonville in a trade with the Los Angeles KISS during the month of May. An AFL rookie, Baker had been with the NFL's Tennessee Titans at the time of the trade.
A Florida native who grew up in Miami, Baker spent his collegiate career at the University of South Florida. After redshirting in 2008, Baker appeared in 47 games over the next four seasons, emerging as a full-time starter as a senior in 2012. That year, Baker racked up 42 tackles and five pass breakups. Over the course of his tenure with the Bulls, Baker totaled 77 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, one interception and seven pass breakups.
The Sharks also announced Sunday that wide receiver London Crawford has been placed on injured reserve. Crawford, who leads the team with 75 receptions for 975 yards and 23 touchdowns, was injured in the third quarter of the Sharks' Week 11 loss against the Tampa Bay Storm.
