Several Ice Players On Fire

THREE DAYS, THREE GAMES: The Ice went 2-1-0 in a three day, three game adventure this past weekend sweeping a pair of home games against Chicago, before falling to Team USA on Sunday afternoon in Ann Arbor, MI.

1/29 vs. CHI- The Ice scored the game's first four goals and never looked back in a 6-2 victory. 11 different players reached the scoring column and Cab Morris earned the win in net with 29 saves.

1/30 vs. CHI- Chris Martin's goal midway through the third period was the game-winner and gave Sam Marotta the 4-3 win in net in his USHL debut.

1/31 at USA- Austin Czarnik posted four points to lead Team USA to a 5-2 victory. Antti Roppo and Nick Bailen scored goals for Indy, while Jacob Fallon dished out two assists.

CENTURY CLUB(S): Defenseman Nick Bailen made Ice history on Sunday as the veteran blueliner played in his 200th game as a member of the Indiana Ice. The all-star defenseman is riding a four-game point streak and is tied for third among USHL d-men in scoring this season with 26 points (9G, 17A) and 48 penalty minutes. For his Ice career, he has registered 68 points (22G, 46A) and 371 penalty minutes.

FIRE ON ICE: Antti Roppo is riding a three-game goal streak and leads all Ice players in goals (19), power play goals (9) and multi-goal games (6)...Alex Wideman has a goal in three of his last four games...Anthony Bitetto enters this week's play on a four-game point streak (G, 5A)...Jacob Fallon has three assists in his last two games....The all-star forward line of Shane Berschbach, Max Cook and Bryon Paulazzo have 31 points (9G, 22A) in their last ten games.

TEAM NOTES: The Ice is 5-4-1 in their last ten games...Indy is 13-5-0 against the East Division...The Ice scored four power play goals over the weekend, but went just 6-10 on the penalty kill.

ALUMNI WAVES: Goaltender Cody Reichard-Miami leads the nation in GAA (1.47) and SV% (.934)...Torey Krug-MSU is the top-scoring defenseman (16 points) among freshman in the CCHA...Mike Gurtler-Mercyhurst (4) and Joe Hartman-Miami (2) are first in shorthanded goals in the AHA and CCHA respectively...Miami with four Ice alumni on the roster (Reichard, Hartman, Cameron Schilling, Garrett Kennedy) are the number one ranked team in college hockey.
