
Seven-Run 4th Does in Sharks

Behind a seven-run 4th inning and a marvelous pitching performance from Raymar Diaz, the Bridgeport Bluefish won their second straight game over the Camden Riversharks by the final score of 9-3. Bridgeport has won all eight meetings at Campbell's Field this season.
Diaz (8-1) was magnificent going the first seven innings allowing three runs on seven hits for the victory.
J.R. Mathes (5-6) set down the first nine batters he faced, but couldn't get out of the 4th inning as he gave up seven runs on eight hits in 3.1 innings.
Bridgeport broke the scoreless tie and then some in the top of the 4th with eight hits and seven runs against J.R. Mathes. The Bluefish hit seven straight singles to start off the inning and sent eleven batters to the plate en route to a 7-0 lead.
Steve Moss added to the lead in the top of the 5th with his second home run of the series, a solo shot, to make it 8-0.
Jonel Pacheco got the Riversharks on the board in the bottom of the 7th crushing a three-run home run, his 5th of the season, to cut the deficit to 9-3.
