Seth and Marshall Named to USL PRO Team of the Week

Pittsburgh - Riverhounds' forward Mike Seth and defender Andrew Marshall earn recognition on this week's USL PRO Team of the Week for Week 18, following their stand out performances in the Club's 0-0 draw against the Orlando City Lions and 2-1 victory over the Wilmington Hammerheads. The win completed a three-game home stand that spanned over five days, resulting in a 1-1-1 record for the Riverhounds.

On Wednesday, the Club finished in a scoreless draw against the Orlando City Lions in USL PRO play. Then, the Riverhounds met the 2013 FA Cup Champions, Wigan Athletic FC of England, on Friday for the first-ever Frank B. Fuhrer International Friendly and Fireworks presented by KEYTEX Energy at Highmark Stadium. The international friendly ended in a 4-1 loss for the Riverhounds, but was a successful night of soccer for the Club and the City of Pittsburgh.

Mike Seth, a Pittsburgh native, is in his fourth year with the Riverhounds. During the match against Wilmington, Seth contributed a goal and an assist in the Riverhounds victory. This is Seth's third goal of the season and his first nomination to the Team of the Week in 2013.

"I'm really excited about earning this recognition," said Seth. "Collectively, the team had an overall great performance in the match as well as the entire week of play. It was a huge win for us, and we are going to continue to focus on earning a spot in the playoffs."

Maryland-native, Andrew Marshall, earns recognition on the USL PRO Team of the Week for his stellar performance at centerback. Marshall helped the Riverhounds shut out the Lions on Wednesday and hold the Hammerheads to only one goal on Sunday. This is Marshall's 2nd time making USL PRO Team of the Week, earning recognition in Weeks 3 and 7, and receiving honorable mentions in Weeks 6 and 9.

"It's a reflection of how well our team played as a unit defensively," said Marshall on his Team of the Week recognition. "Offensively, the team came up with some pretty important goals that helped earn us a very important win."

Joining Seth and Marshall this week as Honorable Mentions are teammates Matt Dallman and Hunter Gilstrap. In Sunday's game, Dallman converted the game-winning goal for his second tally of the season, while Gilstrap had a strong week in USL PRO play in the front of the net, shutting out the Lions on Wednesday and holding the Hammerheads to only one goal on Sunday.
