Fort Worth Brahmas News Release
ORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (April 16)-The Brahmas were unable to find their offense in Game Four of the Southern Conference Finals against the Odessa Jackalopes, losing 2-0. The series is now tied 2-2. Following a scoreless first and second period, Odessa was finally able to solve the riddle that was goaltender Brett Jaeger scoring at the 2:46 mark in the third period. Jaeger had not given up a goal in 123 minutes and eight seconds. Jacks' netminder Juha Toivonen stoned a breakaway chance by Tyler Skworchinski with four minutes remaining in the game and remained a brick wall closing Kinnunen's scoring bid with 1:51 remaining in the game. Brian Swiniarski gave the Jacks a two goal lead when he was able to score an empty net goal in the winding seconds.
The series returns back to the NYTEX Sports Centre Saturday night as Texas hosts Odessa in Game Five for a 7:05 PM faceoff. For ticket information please contact the Brahmas Box Office at (817) 336-4423. * The Texas Brahmas would like to congratulate NYTEX partner and Flower Mound High School Head Coach Knute Anderson and the Panthers for winning the Varsity Gold Division Championship. The Brahmas wish them good luck as they play in the State Tournament this weekend.
** Game Five in the Southern Conference Finals between the Texas Brahmas and Odessa Jackalopes will be aired on Metro Sports Channel 185 on Time Warner Cable. For schedule please check: http://www.metrosportstexas.com.
