Conference Finals Updates 1) Jacks Tie Series With Shutout Win 2) Eagles Look to Up Lead in Northern Conference Finals

1- The Odessa Jackalopes responded in glowing fashion on Thursday night with an 18-save shutout performance from Juha Toivonen who improves to a perfect 6-0 in the post-season (Toivonen did not dress in Game Three due to an injury). The win for Odessa ties the series with the Texas Brahmas at two wins apiece. Paul Kelly scored the game winner in the third period and Brian Swiniarski added an empty-net goal for the 2-0 victory for Odessa. Game Five is scheduled for Saturday night in Texas. Brett Jaeger continued his outstanding play stopping 31 of 32 shots and he saw his personal shutout streak reach 123:08 before Kelly's goal early in the final period. TEX/ODE Series Notes: -Odessa is without a power play goal in 21 chances during the conference finals versus Texas...During the regular season, the Jacks led the league with 110 PP goals connecting at a 22.3% rate -Texas was 11th during the regular season at 81.5% on the penalty kill but are stopping more than 90% during the post-season -Odessa's Sebastien Thinel won the CHL's MVP tying for the league lead with 38 goals during the regular season but in the playoffs, he has scored just once in 10 games but does have nine playoff points

2- The Colorado Eagles and the Mississippi RiverKings played a classic in Game One of their series on Wednesday night with the Eagles erasing a 2-0 third period deficit to win 3-2 in overtime. Ryan Tobler scored twice in the third period extending the game and Ed McGrane scored the game winner in the extra session giving Colorado the victory and the series lead. Martin Gascon and Bobby Chaumont scored goals for the RiverKings and Colorado's Andrew Penner was the star of the game making 43 saves. COL/MIS Series Notes: -Colorado's win over Mississippi ended a four-game slide for the Eagles versus the RiverKings (MIS went 4-1 in the regular season versus the Eagles) -The Eagles have not lost a game in the 2009 Ray Miron President's Cup Playoffs going 5-0 to this point -Andrew Penner is 5-0 in the post-season stopping 190 of 203 shots (.939) -Bobby Chaumont has four goals in his last three games leading the RiverKings with five tallies in the playoffs -Mississippi had eight PP chances on Wednesday compared to one for Colorado
