
Senft Earns first win in Cottonmouths 4-3 victory over Florida

COLUMBUS, Ga. - The Columbus Cottonmouths visit Florida for a 4-3 win over the Seals, splitting their road trip 1-1. Ryan Senft saved 27 shots on goal, bringing home his first win of the season.
Florida scored the first goal of the game at the 1:08 mark of the first period. The Snakes retaliated with a power play goal by Steve Howard at 4:13 in the first period. The goal was assisted by Tylor Keller and Tim Green. Cottonmouths' goalie, Ryan Senft, would hold off the Seals throughout the
Snakes Rookie, Mark Prentice, scored a shorthanded goal during the second period with an assist from Lorne Misita. Mat Ponto put one between the pipes, scoring the third goal for the Snakes at 12:05 in the second period. Ponto was assisted by Tim Green and Tylor Keller.
The Seals roared back with two goals in the third period to tie the game. Justin Keller put up his second goal, while K. THOMAS scored his first goal of the game.
Ryan Rutz stepped up as a third year Snakes and sent one to the net at the 17:10 mark of the third period. Tim Green and Tylor Keller each picked up another assist on this goal.

The Cottonmouths next game will be at home on Friday, November 17th, versus the Jacksonville Barracudas at 7:30 pm. The first 1,500 fans at the Snake Pit will receive Burger King Expand-a-Banners. Saturday, November 18th, will complete the Snakes' weekend double header when they take on the Pee Dee Cyclones at 7:30 pm in front of our loyal military in honor of God Bless Fort Benning Day.
