Harrisburg Senators News Release
The Senators offense finally ran completely out of gas on Saturday afternoon at Waterfront Park in falling to Trenton 4-0. After banging out eight runs on twelve hits Friday night, the Sens didn't have more than one hit in any inning on Saturday afternoon.
Sens starter Marco Estrada pitched into and out of trouble in a couple of innings before allowing a two-run home run to Kevin Russo in the fourth inning. All in all Estrada went five innings allowing just the two runs and striking out six. Relievers Josh Perrault and Mike Hinckley both allowed a run in relief of Estrada. Jason Jones was the starter and winner for Trenton as he moved to 2-0 on the season.
Mike Daniel was the lone offensive spark on Saturday as he had two hits in four trips to the plate. With the loss the Sens had their modest three-game losing streak snapped.
On Sunday afternoon the Sens look to take the series from Trenton as they send RH Ismael Ramirez to the mound against LH Chase Wright for Trenton. The Sens have each of their first two series and with a win tomorrow will have won each of their first three series.
