SOUTHAVEN --- The Memphis RiverKings of the Central Hockey League will have a presence at this Thursday's Nashville versus Columbus National Hockey League preseason game at FedEx Forum in Memphis. The contest, the first ever professional hockey game at the Forum, will face-off at 7 p.m.

The RiverKings will staff a table on the concourse and have ticket and other team information available for fans. RiverKings mascots Sheldon and RiverThing will be on hand to mingle with the fans. RiverKings players will also be signing autographs before the game next to the information table on the concourse.

While the Predators and Bluejackets are in their first week of training camp, the RiverKings are just under three weeks away from the opening of their training camp on October 9 at the DeSoto Civic Center. The team will host Wichita in a pair of pre-season games on October 13 and 14 with the season and home opener versus Youngstown set for October 20.

Single-game tickets for all 32 RiverKings home games go on sale at the DeSoto Civic Center and at all TicketMaster outlets this Friday, September 22.

Tickets for the Nashville/Columbus NHL preseason game on Thursday can be purchased at all TicketMaster outlets, by calling 901-525-1515 or at the FedEx Forum box office.

The RiverKings celebrate their 15th Anniversary in 2006-2007. The season and home opener is Friday, October 20 versus the Youngstown Steelhounds at 7:05.
