Rockford Lightning News Release
Rockford, IL- Some of Rockford's past will return to the MetroCentre as the Michigan Mayhem pay a visit to take on the Lightning. Sam Mack, Teddy Dupay and Greg Clausen used to be Bolts, but now wear the two-toned blue of the expansion Michigan Mayhem. Mack has been huge for the Mayhem, in his first two games, he scored 37 and 29 points respectively against Great Lakes on December 25th and 26th. It's a good sign for the Mayhem, who are still worst in the league with an overall record of 3-14.
Rockford is coming off two straight wins over the Gary Steelheads, and are currently in first place in the CBA's Eastern Conference. Marshall Phillips is third in the league in scoring, averaging 20.6 points per game in the eight games he has played. Stais Boseman continues his stellar play, with 22 points and 12 assists in Sunday night's victory over Gary. The Lightning have an important run over the course of the end of 2004 and the beginning of 2005. Rockford has four games over five nights, two of which are on the road against the team that is chasing them for first place in the East, the Great Lakes Storm.
It all starts Tuesday night, December 28th, at the Rockford MetroCentre against the Michigan Mayhem. Tip off is at 7:05 p.m., and all kids tickets will be half-price. Following Tuesday night's game, there will be a post game party at JD's Bar and Grill. Located on Riverside Blvd. in the North Towne Mall, join the Rockford Lightning Girls Dance Team after the game against Michigan.
