Such put together a strong sophomore campaign for the Monarchs in 2010 as he started all 42 games. He led his team in hitting, with a .393 average,13 home runs, and 54 RBI. For his on-field success, Such accumulated accolades including second team All-American, first team All-Region and first team All-Conference.
While with the Marlins in the beginning of the summer season, Such batted .313 with three doubles and two RBI in limited play. In all, Such started eight games for the first-year Marlins. Along with three other Methodist teammates, Such helped the Marlins to a 7-2 record to open the Marlins' summer season.
"Trey was a valuable member of our inaugural Marlins team," said Marlins head coach Jay Bergman. "He is an outstanding representative of Methodist University and is worthy of his preseason honors."
