
Second Blizzard Player Signs Deal with a CFL Team

Blizzard defensive end Odell Willis has signed a multi-year deal with the 2008 Grey Cup Champion Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League.
Willis was a member of a Blizzard defense that ranked frst in total defense (200.1 ypg), defensive pass effciency (69.7), pass defense (178.7 ypg), sacks by (55) and second in scoring defense (38.1 ppg) and red zone defense (68.6%).
In fve total games with the Blizzard in 2008, Willis recorded 11.0 tackles, 9.0 sacks, 5 forced fumbles and 3 fumbles recovered. Willis set an af2 single game sack record with fve sacks in a 32-20 Blizzard win against the Louisville Fire.
Willis was named the ADT Defensive Player of the Game for his six tackles, fve sacks for a loss of 37 yards, two safeties, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one quarterback hurry against the Fire.
During his career at the University of West Georgia (2003-06), Willis recorded 126 total tackles, 20.5 sacks, 42 tackles for loss and 6 forced fumbles. Willis was also named to the Daktronics All SE Region Team following his junior season, and a two-time All-Gulf South Conference selection while at West Georgia.
