Second Annual Celebrity Summer Street Crunch Game Scheduled for Saturday, July 28

Syracuse, NY (July 26, 2007) The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they will be holding the second annual Celebrity Summer Street Crunch game on Saturday, July 28 at Alliance Bank Stadium. The game will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will be preceded by the Summer Street Crunch youth game.

Area or local celebrities scheduled to appear include: Al (Syracuse Crunch mascot), Rishi Barran (WTVH), Molly English-Bowers (Syracuse New Times), Mike Folsom (Syracuse Crunch), Keith Kobland (WTVH), Ed Gonser (Associated Press), Lindsay Kramer (Post Standard), Mike Lindsley (pinstripepassion.com), Wayne Mahar (WSTM), Kevin Maher (WTVH), Marne Mason (Y94), Bob McElligott (Syracuse Crunch), Charlie Miller (Post Standard), Jessob Reisbeck (WSTM), Jim Sarosy (Syracuse Crunch), Scooch (Syracuse Chiefs mascot), Anish Shroff (WSYR), SilverBack (SilverBack Sportswear mascot), John Simone (Syracuse Chiefs), Bob Siuda (Post Standard), Shannon Trice (Post Standard), and Dan Van Hise (News 10 Now).

The 2007 Summer Street Crunch series is a series of street hockey games open to all youths between the ages of 5-14 years old.

On selected Saturdays throughout the summer, a tournament is held in which two (2) teams from two (2) age groups (5- 9, 10-14) compete against each other in an hour long street hockey game. Helmets, sticks and sneakers (no skates) are required.

Registration for the tournament is only $10 per player. Any individual that registers for all four (4) games by June 30 will receive a special rate of $30. To register call the Crunch office at (315) 473-4444 or stop by SilverBack Sportswear located at 718 Old Liverpool Rd. in Liverpool.

Registration includes the following:

*A roster spot for one game.

*An official Street Crunch t-shirt.

*A youth ticket to the second home game of the Crunch's upcoming 2007-08 season.

*An invitation to a pre-game pizza party.

The remaining Summer Street Crunch schedule is as follows:

July 28 - Alliance Bank Stadium @ 9 a.m. (Celebrity Game @ 10:30 a.m.)

August 11 - SilverBack Sportswear (718 Old Liverpool Road, Liverpool) @ 9 a.m.

August 25 - Alliance Bank Stadium @ 9 a.m.

*Rain date: September 8

Season tickets for the 2007-08 season are now on sale and can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473- 4444 or by stopping by the Crunch office in the War Memorial at Oncenter.
