Hamilton Bulldogs News Release

HAMILTON, ON - The Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs announced today that for the second straight season, the Cincinnati Cyclones will serve as their ECHL affiliate in 2007-2008.

During the 2006-2007 campaign, forwards Mathieu Aubin, Jimmy Bonneau, Gregory Stewart and Cory Urquhart, defenseman Jon Gleed, and goaltender Cedrick Desjardins were recalled by Hamilton from Cincinnati. The Bulldogs also signed Cyclones goaltender Dov Grumet-Morris to a professional tryout contract.

"We are pleased to renew our affiliation with the Cincinnati Cyclones," said Montreal Canadiens Vice President of Hockey Operations Julien BriseBois. "We were very happy with the development of our players under Chuck Weber and (assistant coach) Dean Stork. We hope this affiliation will benefit our prospects for years to come."

"The Montreal Canadiens are one of the most storied franchises in all of sport," commented Cincinnati Cyclones Head Coach Chuck Weber. "They have been excellent to work with and have provided us with players that helped us compete immediately. Being affiliated with the Calder Cup Champion Hamilton Bulldogs has driven our players to want to quickly develop to be part of that success. We are proud to be connected with both franchises."
