Tonight, the SeaWolves look to extend their win streak to three straight games and to go a season-high 12 games over .500 as they take on the Akron Aeros (Cleveland Indians) in the opening game of a four-game series at Jerry Uht Park. Yesterday, the SeaWolves battled through a two-plus hour rain delay as they took down the Harrisburg Senators 8-6, gaining the series split. The win brought the SeaWolves record in series to 8-1-5...Today, righty Patrick Cooper takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his ninth start and third against Akron. He is 1-1 in his first two starts against the Aeros. Cooper earned his second win of the season in his last start against Akron on May 19. In the game, he allowed three runs on five hits with three walks and no strikeouts in six innings of work. Erie won the game 6-4...Lefty Matt Packer takes the mound for Akron making his 10th appearance, ninth start and third appearance against Erie. Packer last appeared in relief against the âWolves on 5/18 at Canal Park. In the game, he allowed a run on five hits with a walk and three strikeouts in five innings of work. Packer is 0-2 with a 4.57 ERA in four road starts...The SeaWolves are in first place for the deepest time in a season since the club won the Southern Division in 2007.
