Erie SeaWolves News Release
A Season of Giving...
With the holidays in full swing the SeaWolves are reminded of those in need. As a way to help give back to our community, the C. Wolf and the SeaWolves staff will be helping with the Salvation Army's Red Kettle campaign this season. C. Wolf will be at the Millcreek Mall on Thursday December 15, Saturday December 17, and Wednesday December 21 between the hours of 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The donations collected by the Salvation Army during the Holidays are used to provide dinners, clothing, and toys for families in need. Financial assistance also helps with basic necessities, during the holiday season and throughout the year. In addition, the organization helps to distribute gifts to shut-ins in hospitals and nursing homes, and open shelters for sit-down dinners. The Erie SeaWolves wish you a Happy Holidays and a prosperous New Year!

News out ot Detroit
The Winter Meetings proved to be very productive for the Detroit Organization. Last week, the Tigers signed Left Handed Pitcher (LHP) Kenny Rogers to a two-year contract and acquired Right Handed Pitcher (RHP) Ricky Steik from the San Diego Padres in exchange for former SeaWolves RHP Kenny Baugh. They also inked a two-year deal with right handed closer Todd Jones to fill in the bullpen.
During the 2005 Rule 5 Draft, Detroit took RHP Chris Booker from the Washington Nationals in the Majro League phase but traded him to the Philadelphia Phillies for cash considerations. In the Triple-A phase, the Tigers drafted RHP Eddie Bonine from the San Diego Padres, while losing second baseman Eric Roland to the Los Angelos Angels.
