Seattle Seawolves News Release
The Seattle Seawolves are thrilled to announce the signing of Calvin Liulamaga, a standout center from Auburn, Washington, who will join the squad for the 2025 season! At 6 feet tall and 210 pounds, Calvin brings power, agility, and a strong connection to the Pacific Northwest rugby community.
Calvin's rugby career began with four years at Rainier Rugby Club before moving on to five successful years at Central Washington University. He continued his growth with stints at Loggers Rugby and Wolverines Rugby, earning accolades along the way, including two Collegiate All-American titles, a Rudy Scholz Award nomination, and recognition as a High School All-American.
"I'm excited to play for Seattle because it's my hometown, and there are a lot of great players I want to learn from. Being able to play in front of Seattle is a dream because I have so much family here, and it's a blessing to be able to be close to them."
Calvin is guided by a personal philosophy that reflects his approach to life and rugby:
"Be honest about the little things, and God will bless you with the bigger things."
He is ready to seize the moment, with his sights set on earning his first MLR cap and making a meaningful contribution to the Seawolves' success. His favorite rugby memory-a state championship win in his freshman year at CWU-highlights his drive to succeed and his ability to rise to the occasion in big moments.
Off the field, Calvin is a man of many talents. With a knack for math and numbers, he's also an artist with aspirations to pursue tattooing in the future. A self-proclaimed foodie and avid gamer, Calvin's interests make him a well-rounded addition to the Seawolves family.
