
Seals Open House Party set for December 4

CELEBRATION, FL â Professional Hockey is coming to the Silver Spurs Arena in October, 2005 and the Florida Seals are hosting an Open House Party for fans of all ages! Make plans to attend the Seals Open House Party at the Silver Spurs Arena on Saturday, December 4th, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. The general public is invited to take a self-guided tour of the Seals new state-of-the-art arena while enjoying a hockey theme park of free activities.
Live music, carnival atmosphere, door prizes, food, beverages, and a chance to win season tickets to the Seals inaugural season in the Silver Spurs Arena are just some of the things fans can look forward to during the event.
"This is an opportunity for our fans and the public to come and see for themselves how incredible this facility actually is," said Seals General Manager Chris LiPuma. "The public will basically have the run of the place. We have plenty of fun and exciting activities planned for the afternoon and it's absolute free to the public."
Seals defenseman and fan favorite, Ryan Anderson will be in attendance on Saturday to greet fans and sign autographs. Anderson spent the past the last two seasons with the Seals organization and was a member of the Seals 2002-03 Championship Team.
Fans attending the event can test their hockey skills in the Seals new CoolAir Arena and Slap Shot Booths. Kids will enjoy free face painting, balloons, games, player autographs, a special appearance by ThunderBug, NHL mascot of the Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning, and much more.
The Seals will also be teaming up with "Hockey Fights Cancer" for a silent auction during the Open House Party. Proceeds from the auction will be donated to the National Childhood Cancer Foundation. Among the items to be auctioned is Seals merchandise and memorabilia, Disney Park Passes, and items from around the hockey world.
Seals staff will be on hand to greet fans and to answer questions about the upcoming season set to begin next October. Fans attending the Open House Party can hand pick and secure the very best seats available for as low as $25 per month with nothing down and no payments until 2005. As an added incentive, fans that purchase season tickets during the Open House Party will receive one free season ticket for every two purchased.
The Silver Spurs Arena is located at Osceola Heritage Park, 1875 Silver Spurs Lane in Kissimmee. From I-4 Westbound take Exit #77, to Florida's Turnpike South. Take Exit #244 (Kissimmee-St. Cloud), turn right (west) onto U.S. Hwy 192; go through stop light at Simpson Road to next stop light at Bill Beck Blvd. (approximately one mile). Turn right. Main entrance to Osceola Heritage Park is about one block on left. Follow signs. From I-4 Eastbound, take Exit #65, Osceola Parkway ($1.25 toll); proceed east 9.1 miles to Michigan Avenue (third traffic light after the tool booth). Turn right on Michigan to Hwy. 192 (at the fourth traffic light); turn left and follow Hwy. 192 to Bill Beck Blvd. Turn left. Main entrance to Osceola Heritage Park is about one block on left.
