DAY BASEBALL AT HADLOCK : The Portland Sea Dogs had their four-game winning streak (season-high) snapped on Friday night, and continue their five-game series with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies (Mets affiliate) on Saturday afternoon at Hadlock Field...Last night was the first time a road team has won a game in the season series...Righty Kevin McAvoy makes his sixth start of the year, seeking his first win of the season.
FRIDAY NIGHT BELONGS TO PONIES : RHP Andrew Church (1-4) earned his first win of 2018, working 6.1 scoreless frames on four hits, one walk and five strikeouts, leading Binghamton to a 5-1 win...Patrick Mazeika knocked in two runs and Jeff McNeil added a bases-clearing double in the eighth off Trey Ball...Chad De La Guerra knocked in Portland's lone run with a two-out triple in the eighth inning...Jordan Weems worked a scoreless inning of relief.
