Saint John Sea Dogs News Release
The Saint John Sea Dogs are heading on the road for game three of the President Cup Playoffs tonight!
The series is tied at a game a piece, Rimouski taking game one 3-1 on Thursday and Saint John winning game two 4-2 on Friday.
On Thursday, Riley Bezeau scored the sole goal for Saint John, while Louis Robin, Julien Béland, and Xavier Cormier hit the back of the net for Rimouski. Goaltender Gabriel Robert earned first star honours with 31 saves on the night.
On Friday, the Sea Dogs came out with more pressure and were able to get past the Oceanic's defence. Connor Trenholm scored two and Raivis Kristians Ansons and William Dufour got on the board in the win at TD Station. Two late game goals from Mathis Gauthier and Louis Robin were not enough and the Sea Dogs tied the series up.
