
Sea Dawgs Edge the Invasion, Stay Undefeated

Wilmington, NC: It was close, physical game at the Schwartz Center on Saturday night. The Sea Dawgs and Invasion exchanged leads throughout the first half, and the Invasion held a 52 - 50 lead at the break. The Dawgs started the 3rd quarter on a run, extending the lead to as many as 8 points, but the game was tied again shortly thereafter. Another surge by Wilmington took the lead to 10 points in the 4th quarter, but a 20 - 6 run by the Invasion gave the visitors a 4 point lead with 4 minutes left in the game. Poor free throw shooting and 3 technical fouls on the Invasion in the 4th quarter were the difference in the game however, and Sea Dawgs prevailed 106 - 102. Eighty-five (85) free throws where shot in the game, 52 by Wilmington and 33 by Cary.
