PrimeTime Players News Release
The PrimeTime Players bounced back from last week's narrow defeat with a convincing 120-87 victory over the Fayetteville Crossover on Saturday night at The Pointe(Former Bobcats Training Center). PrimeTime looked much more comfortable in the friendly confines of their home gym as they sprinted out to a big lead early and never looked back.
Seven PrimeTime Players scored in double digits, including four of five starters. Antonio Houston, who recently returned from a stint in Germany's top league, lit up the scoreboard in the first quarter with three three-pointers. He finished the game with 20 points, while CJ Pigford led the way for PrimeTime with 21.
PrimeTime greatly improved their shooting percentage from last week, shooting over 50% from both two and three-point range. They also shot a markedly better 66% from the free throw line.
The game was technically over by halftime, with PrimeTime taking a 63-37 lead into the dressing room before cruising to an easy victory.
Brandon Streeter and Jamel Carpenter led the way for Fayetteville with 25 and 18 points respectively.
The PrimeTime Players will be back in action next Saturday at 5:00pm at The Pointe in a rematch with the Wilmington Sea Dawgs, who handed PrimeTime their loss in the first week of the season.
