Sea Dawgs Announce Summer Camp Scholarships

As part of its ongoing effort to show appreciation for all the support they received during their inaugural season, the Wilmington Sea Dawgs are pleased to announce the creation of six summer camp scholarships. These scholarships can be utilized to attend one week of basketball camp or one week of dance camp.

"With the Sea Dawgs Summer Camp Scholarship Program we hope to start a tradition of making it possible for economically disadvantaged children of the greater Wilmington area to attend our valuable summer camp program," says Team Operations Manager De'Neia Whitted.

Each camp scholarship covers the cost of tuition, lunch and a goody bag of Sea Dawgs' items including a t-shirt, water bottle and game tickets. Scholarships are available for:

-Boys and Girls Basketball Camps (Ages 8-15)

-Girls Dance Camp (Ages 5-17)

At camp, the children will have opportunities to interact with Sea Dawgs team members and "learn from the pros." Most important, in a safe and exciting environment they are able to develop the self-confidence and skills that will help them to become better athletes.
